MIAMI, Fla. --- The University of Notre Dame
men's and women's tennis teams each posted 4-0 second rounds wins in the BIG
EAST Championship on Friday. The men defeated Georgetown by a 4-0 score and the
women's team also topped Georgetown by a 4-0 score. Both teams were the top seed
in each tournament and received first round byes. The teams now play in
Saturday's semifinals and will attempt to advance to Sunday's final.
The
Notre Dame women's team has won the event the past two years and the men's team
was the runner-up last year.
