NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Notre Dame doubles team of Lindsey Green and Kelly Zalinski defeated Brooke Chiller and Julia Sidorova of the University of Kansas, 9-8, to win the number one doubles flight Saturday at the Indiana Fall Invitational in Bloomington, Ind.

Green and Zalinski advanced to the finals of their doubles flight with an 8-4 victory over Indiana's Jessica Anderson and Becky Wallihan, while Chiller and Sidorova defeated Western Michigan's Larissa Chinwah and Nikki Thompson, 8-5, to set up the final.

Green and teammate Katie Cunha also advanced to Sunday's championship matches of their singles flights at the Indiana University Varsity Courts. Green, who defeated Indiana's Zahra Ahamed in the semifinals, 7-5, 7-6, will face Ball State's Gena Tranquada in the finals after Tranquada won in three sets over Kansas player Cheryl Mallaish, 3-6, 6-4, 7-6.

Cunha, who is playing in the fourth singles flight, advanced to the championship final after beating Tiffany Chang (Kansas) in three sets, 6-3, 3-6, 7-5. The freshman from Dublin, Ohio, will meet Miami University's Janet Baker in the final.
