Notre Dame dominates consolation round at Team Championship

MADISON, Wisc. --- The University of Notre Dame women's tennis team posted a 5-0 shutout win over South Alabama Friday in the consolation round of the USTA/ITA National Team Championship. Notre Dame, ranked No. 15 in the country, improves to 6-1 on the season while No. 17 South Alabama is 3-3. Notre Dame continues play in the event on Saturday when it faces Mississippi.

Notre Dame junior Jennifer Hall improved her record to 17-7 on the season and 5-1 in dual match play on the season with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Lenka Jakubekova. Notre Dame players now have a combined record of 28-9 in dual match play this season.
