NOTRE DAME, Ind. --- The University of Notre Dame women’s tennis team continues the spring 2014 season this weekend. The Irish will welcome both Illinois and Indiana to the Eck Tennis Pavilion this Friday (3:30 p.m.) and Sunday (10 a.m.).
The 23rd-ranked Irish come into this weekend at home after traveling to Evanston, Ill., last week for the ITA Kick-Off weekend. The women fell to Arizona State but bounced back to defeat Oklahoma State, 4-0, bringing their record to 3-1 on the season.
The Illini come to South Bend with a record of 3-0, having swept each team, Saint Louis, Chicago and Illinois State, 7-0. Illinois is ranked 42nd in the country, and the Irish are 25-8 in the all-time series against them.
No. 39 Indiana is also 3-0 to open their season—defeating Xavier, Cincinnati and Eastern Kentucky. In the all-time series, Notre Dame is 17-10 against the Hoosiers.
The action gets underway tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. in the Eck. Fans can also follow the action online with live stats or on the Facebook page.
