Women's Volleyball
Alisha Ewing joined the Irish volleyball staff in the summer of 2008 as the program's intern after a three-year collegiate coaching stint. She handles video filming and editing, team travel and administrative duties. A native of Rochester, Ind., Ewing graduated from Rochester High School after earning four letters in volleyball, basketball, and track & field. She earned all-conference honors in each of those three sports during her final three prep campaigns. Rochester's volleyball and basketball squads earned the sectional championship when Ewing was a senior. Ewing also edged out former Irish volleyball and track & field All-American Emily Loomis in Indiana's prep high jump. Ewing enjoyed a successful collegiate career as she stared for Bethel College (Ind.) in volleyball and track. She was the NCCAA indoor and outdoor high jump champion in 2003-04 and an NAIA All-American in the event from 2002-05. The dual-sport athlete garnered all-conference honors in volleyball from 2002-04 and in track & field from 2002-05. Ewing graduated from Bethel in 2005 with a degree in sports management and then coached for one season at Trinity Christian High School (Ind.). She got her first taste of college coaching when she moved on to Trevecca Nazarene University (Tenn.) as an assistant coach. While there she spearheaded efforts for the program's recruiting, |
