Volleyball vs. Buffalo

The Irish volleyball team took on Buffalo at the Purcell Pavilion on September 1st, winning in 4 games.

AS A SENIOR (2012): Played in all 30 matches during senior season, starting 14 ... finished fourth on team with 74 total blocks ... had nine solo and 65 assisted ... averaged 0.70 per set ... had 13 matches with three or more blocks ... had three kills, two assists, four digs and eight blocks over opening weekend against No. 1 UCLA, Saint Louis and No. 4 Nebraska (Aug. 24-26) ... registrered four kills, service ace, two digs and five blocks in 3-1 win over UAB (Aug. 31) ... turned in a career-high 10 blocks along with three kills and five digs against No. 17 San Diego (Sept. 8) ... had three kills, five digs and seven blocks in a 3-2 win over Xavier (Sept. 14) ... recorded three kills, three digs and four blocks in a 3-2 win over No. 10 Louisville (Sept. 23) ... tallied six blocks in a 3-2 win over Cincinnati (Sept. 21) ... had four blocks and three digs against Marquette (Sept. 29) ... registered five blocks and two service aces in a 3-1 win over St. John's (Oct. 7) ... had four kills (.667 attack percentage), a dig and two blocks in a 3-2 win over Cincinnati (Nov. 9) on Senior Day ... participated in the Rosenthal Leadership Academy ... won the Notre Dame Club of St. Joseph Valley Rockne Student-Athlete Award for volleyball ... tri-captain with Maggie Brindock and Andrea McHugh ... earned a monogram.

AS A JUNIOR (2011): recorded 15 kills, 68 digs and 15 blocks on year ... had career-high 12 digs vs. Connecticut ... thirteen kills came in four-match stretch near end of season, including 10 in BIG EAST Tournament ... had three kills each vs. Syracuse, Louisville and Cincinnati ... tallied four in a win vs. Syracuse in the BIG EAST Tournament ... opened season with 10-dig effort against Eastern Michigan ... also had nine digs against Syracuse in regular-season finale ... assisted on five blocks in win vs. Louisville in BIG EAST Tournament ... participated in the Rosenthal Leadership Academy ... a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) ... earned a monogram.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2010): Started the season with six kills and five block assists vs. Marshall ... four kills and first career ace with six block assists vs. Cal Poly ... first solo block was one of six rejections versus Weber State ... two aces, two blocks and 10 digs at Nevada ... two kills during a home win over DePaul ... one kill on two swings at Rutgers ... finished the season with 23 kills, five aces, 29 digs and 26 blocks ... named a BIG EAST Academic All-Star ... earned a monogram.

AS A FRESHMAN (2009): Played in seven matches on the season, seeing time at outside hitter and setter ... totaled 10 sets played with eight assists ... dished out three assists at DePaul ... recorded first career block at West Virginia ... slammed first kill against Rutgers ... saw action against Louisville during the BIG EAST Championship ... named a BIG EAST Academic All-Star ... earned a monogram.
