AS A FRESHMAN (2007): Named the AVCA Northeast Region Freshman of the Year despite missing out on the BIG EAST Conference's Freshman of the Year honor ... became only the second Irish player to earn the recognition, joining Lauren Kelbley, who won the award in 2002 ... paced Notre Dame by posting a .343 hitting pct., which was sixth among league players in overall play and the highest clip of any conference freshmen ... the average ranked 67th nationally as only four other freshmen hit for a higher average ... her single-season hitting average is the eighth-best of any player to don the blue and gold ... finished 12 matches with an attack average of .300 or greater, and slammed a career-high 16 kills on two occasions ... she is one of only five freshmen to lead Notre Dame in hitting percentage since the program's inception in 1980 ...
