The 20th-ranked University of Notre Dame volleyball team (14-5, 8-0) bounced back from a loss at Saint Louis on Wednesday, Oct. 24, to post a three-game victory over BIG EAST Conference opponent Providence (6-18, 0-10) in Providence, R.I., on Sunday afternoon. The Irish utilized their entire roster in the 30-25, 30-22, 30-22 victory, led by senior middle blocker Malinda Goralski's 10 kills and eight blocks.

Notre Dame dominated the net throughout the match, posting 16 team blocks and holding the Providence offense to .048 hitting. The Irish offense hit .246 as the Friars were unable to block a single Notre Dame attack throughout the entire match.

Notre Dame's balanced scoring effort was keyed by Goralski, sophomore Kim Fletcher (seven kills, five blocks), sophomore Jessica Kinder (seven kills, three blocks, eight digs) and sophomore setter Kristen Kinder (36 assists, two aces, 10 digs and six blocks).

Annie Cella and Sarah Katinger led the Friars with 12 kills apiece, while Ayana Cadres added 10 kills.

Notre Dame will continue its six-match road trip at West Virginia (Nov. 3) and Pittsburgh (Nov. 4) next weekend.
