Gameday at Notre Dame

Q: Can we bring chairbacks?
A: Unfortunately due to the close proximity of seats in the stadium, chairbacks are prohibited. Seat cushions are permitted.

Q: I have tickets and am in need of wheelchair seating how do I go about doing that?
A: You may exchange your tickets for accessible seating and this can be handled a couple different ways:

  (1) Send tickets along with a detailed letter explaining your needs, via a trackable method to our office. We will exchange those tickets for accessible seating and you can pick up them up at will call.
  (2) Bring your tickets to the Purcell Pavilion box office for exchange during normal office hours.
  (3) On game day bring your tickets to the Murnane Family Ticket Office ticket window inside the Joyce Center (South Entrance).

Q: I am bringing my grandmother who isn't in a wheelchair but cannot climb the 58 rows to get to our seats what can we do?
A: We can exchange your tickets for easier access seating. Bring your tickets to the box office on game day and we will try to exchange for an area that does not require as many steps to climb.

Q: Can we bring strollers into the stadium?
A: Strollers are not permitted in the stadium.

Q: Can we bring bags into the stadium?
A: Beginning in 2013, the University has implemented a new bag policy.  It can be viewed by clicking here.

Q: Can we bring in umbrellas?
A: The use of umbrellas inside the stadium is discouraged; it hinders the view of other fans.

Q: Can we smoke in the Stadium?
A: No, St. Joseph County has a smoking ban in public arenas and there are no pass outs.

Q: Does my infant child need a ticket?
A: Yes, for comfort, safety and security reasons, everyone regardless of age needs a ticket.

Q: What time does Will Call open?
A: General will call opens at least 3 hours prior to kick off. Player guest and visiting team will call opens 90 minutes prior.

Q: What time do the gates to the stadium open?
A: 90 minutes prior to kickoff.

Q: Can I purchase away game tickets through Notre Dame?
A: Unfortunately, Notre Dame generally receives a very small allotment of tickets through the school we are visiting and all available tickets go into our contributing Alumni Lottery.

Q: Can I rent a wheelchair?
A: No, the University does not offer this service.

Q: Can I purchase a parking pass for home football games?
A: A limited number of reserved parking passes for the Innovation Park (K) grass lot are available. Please call the ticket office to purchase parking passes. Available parking on campus also includes the Burke Golf Course and White Field North, which do not require passes in advance. Please see Football Parking Patron Information for more information.

Q: Is drive-up game day parking available?
A: White Field and Burke Golf Course are our game day drive-up parking lots. Please see Football Parking Patron Information.

Q: I am bringing an RV or a limo to the game where can I park?
A: You can park your RV or limousine in the Credit Union Lot. There is NO overnight parking on campus.

Q: We are bringing a bus to the game, where can we park?
A: If the bus is a commercial bus carrying more than 12 passengers with a CDL licensed driver the bus can park south of campus in the IP lot and should approach this lot via Angela Blvd. This lot is filled on a first come first serve basis and overflows to the White Field lot. No passes are required in advance.

Q: Do you have food at the games?
A: Yes, there are numerous concession stands in the stadium and around campus for the purchase of food and beverages. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted or sold in the stadium.

Q: I would like to attend Mass Saturday after the game, where and when are they?
A: Mass is celebrated 30 minutes following the conclusion of the football game at both the Basilica and DeBartolo Hall.

Annual Football Lottery

Q: Who is eligible for the annual Football Lottery Process?
A:  (1) Alumni and friends of the university who make their minimum qualifying annual contribution to the University by December 31st the year prior to the season we are entering.
      (2) Monogram award winners who have made their annual dues to the Monogram Club.
      (3) Parents of current Notre Dame undergraduate students.

Q: When do applications go out to the Alumni/Monogram/Donors/Parents of upperclassmen?
A: Applications are published online the middle of April and the deadline to apply is the middle of May with results available in July.

Q: My child is an incoming first year student; do I have the opportunity to get football tickets?
A: First Year parents are sent application letters during the summer with information on how to apply for parent games, which may or may not be the same games offered as the upperclassmen parents; they are subject to change.

Q: My son/daughter was admitted late or is a transfer student am I eligible for tickets?
A: Depending on the timing of late admission, if tickets are available a letter will be sent to notify the parents of the offer.

Q: When will I receive tickets won in the lottery?
A: All home game tickets won in the lottery are shipped via FedEx directly from our printers in Arkansas in the middle of August. Away game tickets won in the lottery are sent via the postal service approximately 3 weeks prior to the respective away game.

Q: When will my credit card be charged for games I won?
A: All credit cards will be charged in early July after the lottery results are released.

Q: I won tickets to a game that I cannot attend; can I exchange them for tickets to another game?
A: No, there are no refunds or exchanges for tickets received through our office. You may contact the Alumni Association at 574.631.6000 for information on their Consignment Sale.
