Members of the Notre Dame family including contributing Alumni, current undergraduate Parents, dues-paying Monogram winners, and donors. Contributions must have been received by December 31, 2012 to be eligible for the 2013 Alumni Lottery.
How do I apply online?
Applications may be completed online at www.und.com/tickets. If you choose this option, you will complete your lottery application online, submit payment online via electronic check and receive a confirmation email.
What is the deadline to apply?
The deadline to apply is May 15, 2013 by 5pm EDT.
Do I have to pay for the full value of the tickets that I apply for?
Yes you will be required to pay the full amount up front for tickets you apply for.
What forms of payment are accepted?
All applications must be paid for with a check. The online process requires an electronic check.
Is the $20 application processing fee refundable if I am unsuccessful in winning tickets I apply for?
No. A mandatory nonrefundable $20 processing fee is charged to all applications.
Can I apply for additional games online once my online application has been submitted?
No. Once completed and submitted online, you will not be able to access your application again.
How do I group seat?
Group seating allows you to request seats together for a particular game with those of another application. Group seating is only available for the same type of application. For example, Alumni with Alumni, Monogram with Monogram, Parent with a Parent, etc. All applications must be mailed together in one envelope.
If one person loses in my group, will the entire group lose?
Yes. Everyone in your group must win in the lottery for that particular game in order for the entire group to receive tickets.
Is the group seating option available online?
No. Group seating may only be completed through the paper application. All applications must be mailed together.
When are results made available?
Results will be available on the internet in mid-July at: www.und.com/tickets. You will need your account number in order to check results. Notification letters are also sent in mid-July. You may also call the ticket office for results in mid-July at 574-631-7356.
When can I expect a refund for games I am unsuccessful for?
Refund checks for unsuccessful games or partial refunds if applicable (less the $20 processing fee) will be included with the lottery results letter mailed in July. All checks will be payable to the original owner of the application and mailed to the person to whom the application was issued.
What if I haven't received my refund check?
If you have not received your refund check by the second week of August, please contact the ticket office at (574) 631-7356. Refund checks not cashed within 180 days of the issue date printed on your check will be considered a gift to the University of Notre Dame.
How will I receive my tickets? When will I get my tickets?
All home game tickets (including Shamrock Series game tickets) are shipped together via FedEx no later than three weeks prior to the first home game to the address indicated on your application. Home game tickets cannot be shipped to a P.O. Box.
Away game tickets are mailed via 1st Class U.S. Mail to the same address as the home game tickets. Each away game won in the lottery will be mailed separately no later than three weeks prior to each away game.
If I require ADA seating, what should I do?
If wheelchair or accessible seating is required, please complete your application AND enclose a letter with your application indicating which game(s) you are requesting wheelchair or accessible seating. We encourage you to send an accompanying letter so that if you are successful in the lottery, the Ticket Office can best accommodate your needs.
If you choose to apply online, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or send a letter to the Notre Dame Ticket Office with any specific accommodations you may need for a specific game.
When is a lottery necessary for each game?
If the number of requests received for any game exceeds the available supply of tickets, a weighted lottery will be conducted. This lottery is weighted based on your relationship with the university.
Who should I make the check payable to?
Checks should be made payable to the University of Notre Dame.
Does the name on the check have to match the name on the lottery application?
No, the name on the check does not have to match the name on the application. Please be aware, any refunds will be issued payable to the name listed on the application.
What if I have an address change?
Address changes must be made in writing to the Ticket Office by July 1 in order to ensure that your tickets are sent to the new address. Late address changes may be subject to reshipping charges and cannot be guaranteed.
Temporary/ticket delivery address changes-Temporary address changes may be made on the paper application or online during the application process. Temporary address changes requested after the application is completed must be made in writing to the ticket office.
Permanent address changes-Permanent address changes must be made in writing to the ticket office. You must also update your address with Donor Services at (574) 631-9385 as they maintain all permanent Alumni, Parent, and Monogram records.
What is the Alumni Family game?
For the designated Alumni Family games, contributing alumni have the option to apply for up to four (4) tickets as indicated on your lottery application.
This year's Alumni Family games are August 31st against Temple and November 23rd against BYU.
If demand exceeds the supply of tickets, a computerized lottery will determine who will receive tickets.
What is the Senior Alumni game?
Notre Dame contributing Alumni who graduated 35 or more years ago receive priority status on their Senior Alumni ticket application for the designated Senior Alumni game.
In the event that demand from the Senior Alumni exceeds supply, as it has previously, tickets will be allotted in descending order to the most Senior Alumni, beginning with the earliest graduation years.
This year's Senior Alumni game is August 31st against Temple.
What are the Parent games?
Parents of returning full time Notre Dame undergraduate students may apply for up to four tickets to the home games indicated on the application.
This year's Parent games are November 2nd against Navy and November 23rd against BYU.
If you choose to apply for both on-campus home games offered on your parent application, you will subject to the general lottery (based on demand) and are only guaranteed tickets to one of those games. You may receive tickets to both games if successful in the lottery.
The parent games for incoming (first-year and transfer) students will be determined and announced in June, based on demand and availability.
Shamrock Series game tickets applied for on parent applications are subject to the general lottery and are not guaranteed.
What if I don't receive my tickets that I was successful for in the lottery?
If you have not received your home game tickets within two weeks of the first home game or your away game tickets by the Monday prior to the game, please contact the Notre Dame Ticket Office at (574) 631-7356.
Do I need to apply for tickets for my infant?
Yes. All persons, regardless of age, require a ticket.
